D&S (Diestra & Siniestra)

This was our skin (Andrea Margan and me) for the CS:GO Art Contest. This contest had the theme “Dreams & Nightmares'' (I made the concept part and my mate did the texture and renders).

D&S, Diestra & Siniestra. They are the chosen names for this skin. Diestra is the name for the dreams part, it means “derecha” (right) and it is associated with good things. Siniestra means “izquierda” (left) and this word is associated with bad things, so it is the nightmares part. Nowadays, these words have as simple meaning as “right and left” (well, “siniestra” means sinister now too), but this association (bad and good) was made in the past.
